Running A Simple Test

Components of a Test

LanMarkXT is capable of running TCP and UDP tests between 2 or more PCs. Each test consist of a test package,  a node set ( to and from ), and the number of test to be run.

Test Packages

A test package defines the contents of the test to perform between the PCs, LanMarkXT comes with many common test packages and wizards that allow you to create your own test packages.  A test can also contain multiple test packages allowing for more complex testing and emulation of any type of TCP/UDP network traffic.

Test Nodes

Each PC on your network with LanMarkXT installed is a test node.  From any of those PCs you can perform a test by selecting the to and from nodes.  Each node should be running the same version of LanMarkXT.  It is also a good idea to launch LanMarkXT from the same user account on each PC, File Shares are used for TCP testing.

Number of Test

Defines the number of times the Test Package(s) will be send from the to node to the from node.

Setting up and running test.

Select the packages tab from the bottom left, select a package in the bottom pane and click ADD, the package will appear in the top pane, you can add multiple packages.
